Q.   Squash? On the Internet? How is this possible?
A.   You don't actually play squash 'on the Internet'. We're just using the Internet to help us organise a 'socially competitive' squash league competition.

Q.   Who do I get to play?
A.   A wide variety of people (men and ladies) of similar ability to yourself who live in your area (or belong to your club/organisation).

Q.   How do I contact them?
A.   Through the Internet! You are provided with the contact details of your opponents in a password-protected members area, including telephone number(s) and e-mail address.

Q.   Do we need a referee?
A.   No. You score yourselves without a referee. First to 3 games is the winner.

Q.   How are the scores entered?
A.   You (or your opponents) enter results directly into a database on our web site after each match. Extensive statistics are available to monitor your performance, and an automatic ranking feature is built-in.

Q.   Where do I play?
A.   Anywhere you like! It's up to you to agree with your opponent on a venue. Maybe it'll be at your local court, maybe theirs, or maybe somewhere in the middle. Make sure you have reasonable access to transport to help facilitate this.

Q.   How often do I play?
A.   You will be put in a division with 3 (occasionally 4) other people - so just 3 matches per calendar month. When in each month you play these matches is entirely a matter for you to arrange with your opponents.

Q.   How much does it cost to join?
A.   Nothing. It's free. All you pay are the normal court fees to the court operator. And maybe the price of a drink for your opponent (if you beat them!).

Q.   How do I join?
A.   Easy. Get on the Internet and take a look at www.squashleagues.com. Select your local club, and then select the 'Join' option from the left-hand menu. It should be straightforward from there. You will be included in the 'active' competition from the 1st day of the next calendar month.

Q.   What excuse do I have not to join?
A.   A. None! Oh, unless you don't have reasonable access to the Internet either at home, work or via a friend. We look forward to welcoming you to Squashleagues.com.
